The Where is My Mind? Project
I am the founder of WIMM (the Where is my Mind?) project. I am posting to see if anyone on here would like to get involved. This is not a job but a voluntary project and I will not be profiting off of it. I am in need of writers and artists.
For this project, I am contacting/seeking out individuals who suffer from mental illnesses and/or neurological disorders or have loved ones suffering from such. I am looking for their stories of their experiences. With their stories, I hope that people will grow to sympathize and understand mental illnesses and neurological disorders better.
These are unheard voices or ones that are normally stifled because of stigmas and social issues associated with them. People are ignorant about particular illnesses and suffering from disorders, conditions, and diseases mentally. With this project, I aim to give them a voice, tell their story, and show people firsthand what it is like to deal with it.
This is where the artists and writers come in. These stories (which the people will own completely, not WIMM), will then be given to a writer (unless the contributor wants to adapt it for comics themselves) and they adapt it into comic form. Afterwards, the writer is matched up with an artist and they work together to create a comic based around that particular story. Upon completion, the story is sent to WIMM and WIMM compiles all the stories together into a giant book of comics.
Once they are all collected and put together, WIMM will raise a crowdfunding campaign (Kickstarter/IndieGoGo) to cover printing and shipping of backs the project. This also ensures the WIMM comic makes it to shelves in bookstores as well. Everyone involved in the project will receive an E-book of the comic automatically. If a certain stretch goal is met in the campaign, everyone involved in the project will receive a printed copy as well.
After that is knocked out of the way, all excess money will be donated to charity, which we have several already picked out on our site. Post campaign, we may continue selling the WIMM books for individual order and all profits will continue to go to charity.

Let the rebellion commence! Er..
Okay! It's been two years since I wrote one of these suckers. My goodness. I plan on making a new piece weekly. Now, things will pop up such as work or some sort of catastrophe that prevents me from being creative (oh, silly creative block, you 'ol meanie, you). But I'll make a post either way about it. If something's in progress, I'll try and update you peeps about it. That's right, I'll spam you (not really). I've put up two new pieces that I've done this week. My goal is to have quite a bit of new work posted this month since I am out of school.
The next project is going to be something with purple strongly involved. Might stick to a purple/orange combination (I'm feelin' all snazzy and purpley). Anyone interested in a particular thing? I was thinking of making a monster out of something. Already made a grotesque, fat, kitty. You'll probably see within a week, I hope. I will be working a lot in the midst of this holiday craziness.
Concluding this self-centered and obnoxious post, I surely hope things are going well for everyone and that your day is more than agreeable (it's outstanding!).

So My apologies. I have no clue when things'll get scanned in, i've got around 50 things or so to scan in in. Plus I keep drawing more and more things while I patiently await for my turn to use the family scanner. They'll hopefully be up by January, but I'm not going to make promises.
